It’s not a backstory,
it’s the whole point.

I could walk into any room, read what was needed and become it. A slightly different version of myself for every group, every season of life. A chameleon. I am not sure I was even doing it consciously. I just knew how to make myself acceptable. Useful. Palatable.

It took me until now to understand the cost of that.

I had been quietly doing the work for years. Reading. Learning. Sitting with things I had been carrying since childhood and had never properly examined. Beliefs about what I deserved, what was possible, whether there was enough of anything for me. I started to unpick them slowly, through books, through good coaching, through some practices that might raise an eyebrow or two but that genuinely changed how I moved through the world.

My granny used to say: what's for you won't go by you. I did not really understand it until I stopped trying to force things and started trusting that what was meant to find me would find me. That life, even the difficult parts, was mostly happening for me, not to me.

And then one morning, I was in my kitchen. I had just meditated. And the whole thing arrived. Not an idea that needed developing. A complete picture: the people, the places, the conversations, the practitioners, every experience I wanted to create. I ran to my office and wrote it all down before it could disappear.

I am not a coach. I am not a therapist. I am someone who has been learning things that have genuinely changed her life and cannot see the point in keeping them to herself. I want to share them with women who are asking the same questions I was. In a room. Together.

Because something happens when women gather honestly that does not happen any other way. When we stop adapting, stop performing, stop being the version of ourselves that fits best, we become more of what we actually are.

That is what I am here for. That is all this is.

I have spent my whole life being very good at fitting in.

Not a programme. A gathering.

What Tribe Fortune is

Tribe Fortune is a community of women and a set of thoughtfully curated experiences built around the things that actually matter to us. Bodies that are changing. Friendships that need tending. Creativity that has been shelved. Questions about who you are outside your roles.

We work with practitioners we trust, in small groups, in some of the most beautiful places in Dumfries and Galloway. Small enough that everyone gets to be a real person rather than an audience member.

What you can expect

A safe space that’s easy to walk into. Women at broadly the same stage of life, asking broadly the same questions. Trusted practitioners who know their craft and share it without pretension. Beautifully designed experiences that are accessible and welcoming.

No prior knowledge needed. No particular beliefs required. No pressure to be further along in any kind of journey than you happen to be.

Just women gathering, honestly, in good company.

Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.

Our events and retreats take place across some of the most quietly stunning landscapes in Scotland. Wild coastline, ancient woodland, still lochs and wide sky. An hour from Glasgow. A world away from everything else.

The landscape is part of the experience.

A gloriously wild landscape, undiscovered and peaceful.
